Generally the picking of cotton is done during November and December. After the cotton is drive and clean. The fibre is separated from seeds. This process is called Ew Phai then the fibre is beaten with a bowstring or Kong deed Phai until it is fluffy then used the whorl to spin the cotton fibre into thread. After that the thread is spun on the wheel to make skein and dye the
cotton skein in a colour mixture vat. In some area, it is preferable to dip the skein in the boiling rice water to give it toughness put to spin on a wheel to separate the threads into two groups one for
the warp and one for the weft.
